Model, Simulate and Characterize the Network-on-Chip for Next Generation Spacecraft Computer

Want to be involved in developing the future technology? Space is a part of the daily work at RUAG Space. We manufacture space products that are used in almost all satellites and rockets serving the world wide space industry and global needs.

We are located in Göteborg and Linköping. RUAG Space AB is a part of the space division within RUAG Holding AG, a Swiss technology group. The space division has approx. 1 100 employees in Switzerland, Sweden and Austria.


The system-on-chip for the core of the on-board computer system is becoming more and more complex and system verification and validation needs to be supported by models and simulation. This computer system includes several on-chip busses and even a communication network. The communication scenarios are very complex and difficult to realize in a real-time test environment.

Work in the field of
This thesis  includes the modelling and the simulation of the heterogeneous network, incluing on-chip networks, in order to characterize the behavior and identify and suggest mitigating solutions for any problems within the network architecture.

Masters program majoring in electrical or computer engineering or similar.

Thesis work extent
This master thesis equals 30p in the MScEE program.
