In the field of the modification of aircraft for special missions, RUAG Aviation is able to call on its many years of experience and its extensive know-how. In doing this, the focus is always on the fulfilment of individual customer wishes and the specific requirements for the planned special mission. This includes missions in the environmental protection, or for rescue, surveillance and research purposes. Reference projects include, the conversion of two Dornier 228-212 for the Dutch Coastguard, or the «HALO» project, in which a Gulfstream G550 business jet was converted into a high altitude and long range research aircraft on behalf of the German Aerospace Centre. RUAG Aviation also integrated the next generation of flight displays and newest navigation, communication and safety systems of the German Government VIP fleet according to the JAR-OPS-1 requirements. The sense for innovation and the well-founded know-how of the experts ensured the success of these projects.

As we are a holder of a DOA, POA and EASA Part 145 Maintenance Facility Certification, we are able to implement any modifications in accordance with the customers needs and requirements.
