ISSYS – Integrated Self-Protection System

ISSYS POD - Plug On Device

The Integrated Self Protection System «ISSYS-POD» is a highly versatile airborne EW solution that can be used on different helicopter platforms and be installed within 15 minutes. The «Plug-on-Device» (POD) as the first of its type allows equipping helicopters with an EW system on a per mission basis. RUAG Aviation integrates the widely used SAAB IDAS/CIDAS system with all other equipment needed for a self-contained system. It consists of two POD-devices to be mounted at the helicopter hard points, therefore the helicopter does not have to be re- certified. ISSYS-POD is accredited according to EASA standards making it also suitable for non-military use. It can be used on vari- ous rotorcraft platforms requiring platform specific mechanical interface adapters.
