Large Subsonic Wind Tunnel Emmen

The Large Subsonic Wind Tunnel in Emmen is one of the most productive establishment of its kind in Europe. It provides the optimum frame for aerodynamic investigations of aircraft, cars, trucks and boats. The continuous improvements of the infrastructure ensure conformity to customers' growing demands.

The wind tunnel is adaptable to specific testing needs; may it be conventional aero database identification or complex propeller thrust and ground effect simulation. For full scale car developments a spray rig is installable in front of the test section to investigate rain conditions up to 240km/h.

The precise test data is ensured by the in-house developed data acquisition software and RUAG strain gauge balances operated by our highly skilled personnel.
