To assure the structural integrity of an aircraft, different analysis methods are needed. RUAG Aviation is taking care of fleet monitoring, life time extension programs, recording of load spectrum, remaining life time calculation, coupon and component tests for evaluation of material data, definition of maintenance and inspection intervals, NDT inspection and development of NDT methods on particular areas, damage investigation and concessions, metallic and non metallic static stress calculation(linear and non-linear analysis), damage tolerance analysis, crack initiation and crack grow analysis, W&B (weight and balance calculation).

In addition to the structural analysis, RUAG Aviation provides electrical load analysis on fixed wing aircraft and rotorcraft. These analysis are done under the consideration of optimised bus loads during different flight phases. These results are used for the optimization of the system development where efficient power shedding will defined and designed. Today RUAG Aviation's main customer in this field is the Swiss Armed Forces and also offers support in the field of Flight Physics.
