The know-how of carrying high loads in structures using minimum material has been driven to excellence in the area of Launcher Payload Adapters.
This know-how but also the capability to manufacture structures in low-mass CFRP composites, has opened possibilities for satellite structures.
A Central Cylinder for Alcatel Alenia Space Spacebus-4000 platform being placed on top of a payload adapter.
The CFRP Central Cylinder has a diameter of 1.2 meters, a height of 4 meters, includes more than 650 threaded inserts and weighs less than 90 kg.
Lower cone of Japanese telecommunication satellite designed and manufactured by RUAG Space.
