According to a survey by the consulting firm Universum, RUAG is the eighth most popular employer for engineering students in Switzerland. Moreover, awareness of RUAG rose from 74 to 75 percent. Thus three-quarters of all engineering students are familiar with RUAG.
Christian Ferber, Chief Human Resource Officer, is delighted that the company has achieved good ratings again and is perceived positively: "As an innovative technology group, we are particularly interested in attracting students of mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering and IT. RUAG provides exciting and demanding employment in an international environment, and this survey shows that students see it that way too."
RUAG offers graduates the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills to use in the company. Support with bachelor's or master's dissertations, traineeships and graduate positions are all established elements on the RUAG training programme for young engineers.
Universum conducts its global survey on employer attractiveness once a year. This year, 14,476 students – including 1605 engineering students – were covered by the survey. Almost every tenth student rated RUAG as an ideal employer.
