RUAG increasingly attractive for engineers

RUAG is one of the seven most popular companies among Switzerland's future engineers. Compared to last year, RUAG has gone up two places, according to the latest survey by Universum. This puts the Swiss industrial group, which operates in the areas of Aerospace and Defence, in the top ten engineering employers for the fourth time in succession....

Consultancy company Universum surveyed more than 12,000 students in Switzerland in 2015. In this survey, over 200 talented young people chose RUAG as their ideal employer. This places RUAG seventh among the most popular companies for the engineers of tomorrow. Compared with the previous year, the technology group has moved up two places and is again one of the top ten companies.

For Christian Ferber, Chief Human Resource Officer, these positive results are confirmation of the company's strategy and efforts over the past few years: "We offer talented young employees inspiration, responsibility and support. We help them to define, achieve and even exceed their personal goals." RUAG offers attractive career start options to students of mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, electrical engineering and IT in particular.

As well as interesting positions, RUAG offers students at universities or universities of applied sciences various opportunities to complete an internship in one of RUAG's divisions. Each year, RUAG also offers ten students at ETH Zurich the chance to take part in a five-week basic internship at its training workshop in Emmen. They can also learn more about the research and development work carried out daily at an international technology group in bachelor's and master's theses.

Students have an opportunity to find out more about the company's work at the following events:

  • 21 April 2015   olymesse ETH, Zurich
  • 6 May 2015     Technology Career Day, University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, Windisch
